Home Buyer's Checklist
- Here are 8 steps to help you through the home buying process.

Step 1: Determine How Much House You Can Afford
Use our mortgage calculator to determine what size house matches the monthly amount that you can afford

Step 2: Find a Lender & Get Pre Approved
Look no further! We work with lendors across the bay area and will find you the lowest rates and the best options. Pre-Approval is a written statement from your lender that you have been approved for a specified amount. This will expedite the loan process.

Step 3: Start Looking For a House
Now that you've determined how much you can afford, use this site and make a list of properties that you like. We will accompany you to tour these homes at your convenience

Step 4: Order and Verify Your Credit Reports.
It could mean the difference between getting approved and getting denied. To check for accuracy, order a copy of your credit report from each of the major credit bureaus.

Step 5: Organize Paperwork
Your lender will need to reference some important documents. These will include: W-2 forms and federal tax returns for the past 2 years, year-to-date pay stubs, documentation of additional income, investment records, debt/creditor records and cancelled mortgage/rent checks.

Step 6: Determine Which Type of Mortgage Works Best For You
We will consult with you about different options including 15 and 30 year mortgages.

Step 7: Order an Appraisal and an Inspection
We have certified appraisals on staff that will assist you in this process.

Step 8: Closing Time
Once this is over, you'll be moving into your new home. Congratulations!
